This red wine from Riverland in South Australia is grown by the Ludaš Family at their Renmark West vineyard. It is made from Montepulciano grapes, which are native to Mediterranean climates and are well-suited to the local climate in Riverland, which also has hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The wine is hand crafted and part of a single vineyard range, and the wine-making process involves minimal intervention in order to highlight the purity of the fruit. As a result, the wine has flavors of cherry, blackberry, and herbs and is vegan, gluten-free, and made with low oak use and low cellar intervention. Deep dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a bright purple red hue. Fragrant raspberry, red cherry and red liquorice scents infused with fresh herbs are trailed by some light spicy earth notes. Light, fruity and fresh the palate features red raspberry, cherry and red liquorice flavours over subtle earth and spicy fresh herb elements. Polished tannins and bright acidity lead into a crunchy red fruited conclusion.
