Join us Wednesday May 15, 6PM - 7:30PM as we taste wines from two of our favorite producers from De Maison Selections. Anthony Minne from De Maison will be here to educate us on these lovely producers and what De Maison is all about.
About De Maison
De Maison Selections is the exclusive US importer of exceptional wines, ciders, sherries and spirits from our family of independent producers in Spain and France. De Maison Selections was founded by André Tamers in 1996 upon his return from a three-year journey throughout Spain. The company was named in honor of his mother, whose family roots go back to Haute-Savoie in France. Her father had three daughters and the name De Maison was destined to disappear, which inspired the name of the company and resulted in the continuity of the De Maison family name.
We will taste four wines and have some snacks. Three wines come from renowned Spanish/Basque producer Ameztoi. Among them is the amazing sparkling rose "Hilo de Rubetis," available in small quantities while supplies last.
The last wine is the singular rose from Clos Cibonne in Provence, France. This rose is aged under fleurette (a thin veil of yeast, similar to the process in Sherry or Jura wines) in 120-year-old, 5,000L foudres for one year. This is serious rose and we are pumped to share it with you. Small quantities available for this as well so get them while they last!
