History : The wine "Olè" is a Rosso di Valtellina that allows us to appreciate one of the greatest vines of the Italian north, the Nebbiolo, outside of its typical terroir of choice. It is in fact a variety usually grown in Piedmont, which however finds in the Lombard Valtellina a cradle in which it loves to settle. This bottle made by Dirupi, a young production reality to keep an eye on, reveals itself with a young and disheveled personality, where are the fruity sensations to tell what is experienced on the nose and in the mouth. A label that only ripens in steel, to keep intact the fragrance that represents its strong point. The Valtellina Red wine "Ole" derives from the pure grapes of a great vine, Nebbiolo. The vines grow within terraced vineyards, located at a height above sea level between 400 and 450 meters, characterized by important slopes, which in some cases even reach 70% of inclination. The vines are rooted in a moraine subsoil, rich in sand. The grapes, once harvested during the harvest, ferment alcoholically in steel, macerating for two weeks. It then continues with the refinement, done in steel, for a period of about 8 months. The "Ole '" is a red Valtellina wine that, in the glass, takes on a light and limpid hue, which recalls the color of the ruby. The nose is dominated by fruity aromas, which, as the wine develops, let emerge slightly spicy sensations. Tasting is good body, with a sip of pleasant freshness characterized by a taste of fruit. A label with which the winery Dirupi shows us how Valtellina is really an interesting terroir for the cultivation of the Nebbiolo grape.
