Closilo Sandland Colombard 2019 South Africa

Closilo is the name given to the picturesque Silo that was built in 1948 on Mont Blois, in the De Hoop Valley of Robertson, South Africa. Derived from the French term “Clos” meaning enclosed vineyard, but here the Silo is enclosed by a red clay wall, hand-built from fertile soils. The Estate is comprised of three different terroirs.

The vineyard sourced for this refreshing Colombard is 100% Estate owned and sustainably farmed. Vines average 65 years of age with deep roots and low yields. This hand-crafted white is fermented in 100% stainless steel.

It shows bursts  of bright tropical fruit and white rose petals. The palate is zesty with citrus note ripe fruit flavors. Stunning value.
